Southwind Inn - Port Isabel

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The room definitely needs updating, and we found several maintenance issues, including a window off the track that needed correction. I was appalled when staff entered our room early for checkout, invasive and unnecessary, especially when they arrived 45 minutes before the scheduled time.

Absolutely great place and good-sized room. Nice building and rooms with a great view. Good and peaceful location for my purposes.

We 100% recommend it. Very pleasant staff and MAGNIFICENT location on the Gulf Coast, everything was great. Location: the hotel was very close to the bay, very close to the bridge to get to Padre Island and everything, good restaurant, Museum, Gallery, Shops.

What makes it worth it, and what doesn't

The location was perfect for our needs, just a short walk to Joe's Oyster Bar! The manager was friendly.

The hotel lacked a breakfast service. Having a reliable morning meal option could have enhanced our experience.

The room was spacious and clean when we arrived, a big plus. We liked having a large fridge with a freezer, perfect for snacks. If you're into views, we appreciated the nice grassy area and could even see the ocean. Just a heads up, no breakfast was available, and we needed to buy our own hand soaps since they were missing.

We booked a cozy getaway to explore the nearby attractions. The room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the grassy area and ocean. I especially enjoyed having a large fridge that was perfect for storing our snacks and drinks for our late-night cravings. Though we noticed a few maintenance issues like the window needing alignment and the lack of an exhaust fan, our overall experience was pleasant and exceeded our expectations for the price.

I loved the spacious room with plenty of space for my dog and the BBQ area was perfect for grilling up some summer fun!

Despite these drawbacks, the price was very reasonable for the quality we received. I would consider staying here again, hoping they address some maintenance issues in the future.
